Aromatherapy is the science and practice of combining naturally extracted essential oils from plants with the healing technique of massage to help sooth the mind, body, and spirit.
 
What is involved in an Aromatherapy session?

A customized blend of oils is created for your session by the Aromatherapist and typically applied during a massage. You will be requested to undress to your level of comfort and will remain covered with a soft flannel sheet and light blanket throughout the massage. Only those areas that are being massaged will be undraped.

What does Aromatherapy do?

Essential oils, extracted from flowers, herbs, and trees, possess distinctive therapeutic properties. The oils are quicky absorbed into the skin through massage, working to stimulate or relax the appropriate body systems or organs, as required. When inhaled, essentail oils also work on the brain and nervous system.

Aromatherapy helps affect the mood, alleviate fatigue, reduce anxiety, and promote relaxation.

How will I feel?

Most people relax very quickly during the session. They often are surprised to discover how long they continue to experience a sense of balanced energy after their session.

How long is the treatment?

The first session usually takes from 60 to 75 minutes. Subsequent sessions typically last from 45 to 60 minutes.
